Note this is an IN STOCK, IMPERFECT board + carrying case.  The MSRP of this brand new when in stock will be $225 for the board + $55 for the carrying case = $280.  You are getting this very slightly imperfect board for a STEAL, AND it is IN STOCK and ready to ship!

Please note that the original kickstarter backer for this board opted to have a replacement board shipped to them so we are going to be sending this board directly from the customer to you, not from our warehouse.  This board was described by the customer as:

"
There were a few issues that I could overlook with minor surface imperfections and excess glue, but what I could not overlook was misaligned drilling for the bumper screws (also crooked install), the missing center hump for removing the discs, and the laminate damage that extends beyond the pegs.

I have outlined what I feel is necessary to document in order of priority and hopefully have pictures lining up with the list. I can provide more photos if needed, but thought this was a good overall summary since I honestly just stopped looking harder at things once I noticed the pegs were misaligned and installed crooked.

1. Misaligned drilled screws/pegs - they do not line up properly with the zones and I highlighted this using a string covering the playing lines...something is off but I only included a single photo because it is the same from the other axis. *affects play
2. Screws drilled crooked - they are at an angle *affects play
3. Missing center bump. I have an older crokinole board and with the flat discs, the center bump is needed to retrieve them. As it is now, they get stuck. *makes play more difficult
4. Damaged laminate from improper drilling/install and extends beyond bumpers. Might be salvageable in some way by applying pressure once screws are removed, but overall these should have been predrilled correctly to avoid damage and not tightened till it split. *affects play
5. Issues with the rubber bumpers (see 6)
6. On removal found that the actual rubber was cut crooked and led to odd shapes when installed
7. Laminate damage from screw install
8. Screws not drilled matching the pattern/offcenter & laminate damage
9. Surface glue in various areas
10. Surface damage bumps (one example of a few) *affects play - possible minor
11. Surface damage dents (tool damage?) in play area *affects play
12. More excess glue around outside
13. Acrylic fitting? Just not sure if this is correct as the fit is a bit odd, especially with discs."

As you can see from the word-for-word list of issues the customer gave, we were not going to come to any agreement on the board being "bad" or not, so we refunded this backer and the board could be yours at a huge discount!  Please look at the photos for yourself and see that the lines MAY be off by a few degrees, but barely any if it is.  Everything else is very minor and the board is very playable/enjoyable.

Most of the problems with our returned boards can be easily addressed by following the guidelines of our Care/Repair guide HERE.

And our reply to the above issues with the board:

"Let me just quickly address some of your larger issues:

1) misaligned screws.  The screws are not misaligned as much as the screen printed lines were not 100% centered.  Looking at your image with the string it is VERY difficult to tell if they are misaligned at all, maybe 1-2% off of where they should be?  Either way it is very, very minor and not something we would consider material for our boards.

2) screws at an angle… this is a VERY slight angle and none of our boards are going to be 100% at a 90 degree angle.  The damage from improper drilling is largely covered by the screws.  All of this could be easily remedied by us sending you a replacement rubber/screw set as seen HERE and you carefully installing these machine screws yourself, they are large and the rubber comes in one long piece so you could cut it yourself to be 100% straight.  Honesty though having played crokinole for 10+ years myself I can tell you these little details do not take away from gameplay or affect the fun of the game.

3) “missing center bump”… yes I’ve played on a few boards that have convex center bumps and it is nice to be able to get the 20s out a bit easier, but I’ve been playing on an elite board for 6 weeks now and this doesn’t actually affect game play.  You can get the 20s out just fine, though it is a BIT harder.  None of our boards have convex bumps in the middle and this isn’t anything we can “fix”.  If you want that effect just attach something into the hole that is sticky on one side and convex on the other.  A quick good search came up with these.

4) surface dried on glue:  This is water-based, eco-friendly glue use to attach the the base to the rim, it is easily removed with some warm water, a little patience and a sharp blade.

5) surface bumps: These are quite minor and very easy to gently sand down with very fine grit sand paper if they bug you, though you’ll need to refinish that spot with some varnish and then be sure to wax the area again when finished.

6) Acrylic disc holders: The acrylic 20s holders are intentionally a little loose so that they don't scratch the rim of your board. They wiggle a bit but if you put a small piece of microfiber or other cloth or even a papertowel/napkin in the gap then it fills it nicely AND acts as a buffer so the very hard acrylic doesn't scratch your board all up every time you use it. If they fit perfectly flush they would scratch the board badly every time you put them on.

You can check all of our DIY fixes for minor problems HERE.  It covers 90% of what you are finding on your board."

And a few important points about all our ELITE boards:

Please note that all of our ELITE boards for 2024 were produced with "antique" looking screws that are supposed to look distressed/weathered.  You can purchase brand new brass screws if you prefer that look HERE.

Question: Are the acrylic 20s holders going to fit snuggly on my board?

The acrylic 20s holders are intentionally a little loose so that they don't scratch the rim of your board. They wiggle a bit but if you put a small piece of microfiber or other cloth or even a papertowel/napkin in the gap then it fills it nicely AND acts as a buffer so the very hard acrylic doesn't scratch your board all up every time you use it. The 20s holder for our standard boards are even larger and we custom sized the 20s holders to this exact size by design.

We ran our most successful Kickstarter EVER in mid-2024 for Crokinole but the project exploded and we won't be shipping any PREORDER boards until after the Kickstarter is fulfilled.  We will fulfill the Kickstarter in October/November 2024  meaning preorders from our website will likely be shipping in December 2024.

Please note that all of our boards are made one-by-one at the factory and each board will be different.  They require some care and maintenance for optimal play, and there are some things you should consider before buying a board, please check out our care/handling instructions as well as some information to help manage your expectations about our boards HERE.

We only have a very limited number of these left from our 2024 Kickstarter that raised over $748,000!  Check it out HERE.  Sorry we can only ship to the lower 48 US States and only via UPS Ground as these are HUGE and too big for the Post Office to handle!

Boards Specs:

The boards consist of a 26" diameter playing surface + 2 inch ditch + 1/4 inch rim = 30.50 inches in total diameter and 3 inches thick. The game will come double boxed in a box with dimensions of 34.5 X 34.5 X 4.5 Inches and weights in at a massive 20 pounds (7.9 KG). Yes these are HUGE! Our boards meet the The World Crokinole Championship™ specifications which are:

  • 26" diameter playing surface (66cm)
  • distance from 'dead' center of the '20' hole to the pin/post circle is 4" (102mm)
  • distance from pin/post circle to 10/5 circle is 4" (102mm)
  • distance from 10/5 circle to 5/start circle is 4" (102mm)
  • distance from 5/start circle to the edge of the playing surface is 1" (25.5mm)

These equidistant factors contribute to the 'science,' design, and original intent of the game. "20" hole diameter is generally 1-3/8" (35mm) with a depth of ¼" (6mm) width of dividing circle lines is recommended as 1/16" (1.5mm) but no more than1/8" (3mm) width of ditch/gutter (from side rail/rim to edge of playing surface) is a minimum 2" (51mm).

This standard is neither new nor something defined solely for the WCC event. Rather, this is the paradigm viewed from dimensions established more than 120 years ago.
