Now IN STOCK!

One of the biggest reasons we hear for people deciding to "wait" on buying a Crokinole board is the spouse factor.  Maybe you just can't justify spending $100 on a game or your spouse will kill you.  Probably the 2nd biggest reason people won't get a Crokinole board is the size/storage problem.  Where do you store an 18 pound beast of a game?  Enter the Crokinole Clock Accessory Kit!

Thousands of Crokinole Boards get sold every year and the vast majority of them are just HUGE and end up in a box somewhere in storage most of the time. It is hard to pull it down from the attic, pull it out of the box, and set the pegs/game up again.

Whether you paid $100 for a Crokinole board or $400+ for an heirloom quality board, you've bought a really nice round piece of wood that just looks great. So why not keep it out of its box, make it a conversation piece and display it proudly? With their new Crokinole Clock Kit now it's always "Crokinole Time!"

This clock fits over the standard pegs to the Tournament Sized boards with a clever foam overlay that is lightweight and sturdy, yet thick enough to support a small time-piece in the middle.

Please note that the Crokinole board is not included.

We recommend not pushing the clock foam all the way on the board, as the foam tends to interact with the wax and natural oils of the wood and it could eventually discolor the board a bit in that area.

Here is a nice little glimpse of the clock installation and how it fits over the pegs.  Note the clock accessory is made of a soft foam so it is easy to stretch it a bit to fit over the rubber/screw set if you have a board that doesn't have wooden pegs.  You can also cut an "X" in the foam at each hole to allow for even more room.

Do you have an ELITE Mayday or other brand board like an amazing Tracey board?  You will need to purchase a wall mount (here) to hang your board on the wall! Not included with this clock kit!  Note Standard Mayday Boards have eyelets in the back along the inside rim so you can easily hang it with some picture wire if you choose.  No Wall Mount needed!

NOTE:

The clock is oriented so that 12:00 is orthogonal to the top edge of the mechanical box; straight up if the box is set level with the battery at the bottom, but the foam holes are cut so that the 12:00 postion aligns with a peg hole.

Crokinole boards are engineered such that the path between the center of a player area and the center hole is clear; pegs are equidistant to each side (this is also true of the radial lines to the center).

As such, whether the board is hung in a + or X configuration (Our standard boards are  configured for X because of how the eyelets are positioned), it would seem impossible to mount the clock such that 12:00 is directly UP, right?

Wrong!

First of all understand that the white face where the numbers are printed on can pull away from the foam so it can easily "spin" around to center the top 12:00 position anywhere you want, so if you want to mount your board with the lines of the board straight up and down (+) or off-set (X) either is possible.

As for the clock not aligning perfectly perpendicular to the base of the rectangular time peice stuff, you can just push the hands gently to that 12:00 top position to perfectly align it without harming the mechanism. In other words, just attach the foam to any of the 8 pegs you want, even upsidown so the 6 is at the top, then spin the face until the 12 is at the top, then spin the minute hand around until the small hand is at exactly the 12:00 position. It will get pretty close but you may have to "force" the hands to be exactly at the very top together the first time. Then adjust the time by gently puthing the minute hand around to the current time, with the hour hand moving on its own by one hour at each rotation.
